System Analyst

About the role

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze existing systems and identify gaps versus business needs.
• Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications, including HLD/DLD.
• Work closely with development, testing, and implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support and guide development teams from analysis through production deployment.
• Manage and track work plans, milestones, and project timelines.
• Ensure system availability and business continuity.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a matrix environment.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven experience as a System Analyst in core banking or financial systems.
• Hands-on experience with COBOL and IBM Mainframe environments.
• Previous experience working closely with development teams.
• Experience in the banking or financial industry.
• Strong knowledge of DB2 and SQL Server.
• Academic degree or practical engineer certification in Information Systems, Technology, Industrial Engineering & Management, or a relevant professional System Analysis course.
• Strong analytical and system-wide thinking skills.
• Experience working with large-scale systems and integrating systems across diverse environments.
• Ability to provide professional support to business and technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to work non-standard hours when required.
• Advantage: Experience with MASAV.
• Advantage: Knowledge of account management and customer management systems.
• Advantage: Experience with payment systems, regulatory requirements, compliance, or financial restrictions.
