About the role
We are looking for an experienced Manual QA Tester to join a team working on critical financial core systems in an IBM Mainframe environment.
Responsibilities
- Write and execute comprehensive manual test scenarios for financial core systems.
- Perform testing of Batch and Online (CICS) processes.
- Analyze system requirements and functional specifications and translate them into test cases.
- Perform Sanity, Regression, End-to-End, and UI testing.
- Work with databases, including SQL queries, data retrieval, and validation.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Development, System Analysis, and Operations teams.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in Manual QA testing.
- Practical experience working in an IBM Mainframe (MF) environment.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and database queries.
- Graduate of a professional QA / Software Testing course.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and test documentation.
- Advantage: ISTQB certification.
- Advantage: Experience testing APIs using Postman, SoapUI, or Swagger.
- Advantage: Previous experience in a financial, banking, or insurance environment.
