Senior Infrastructure Lead

About the role

Lead the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure. End-to-end responsibility for the stability, security, scalability, and day-to-day operation of Linux and Windows environments, Active Directory and identity services, NetApp storage systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments. Includes close collaboration with R&D and DevOps teams and leveraging AI and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments, with a strong hands-on focus.
  • Manage virtualization environments, including VMware and KVM.
  • Manage and maintain AWS / Azure cloud environments.
  • Take full ownership of the architecture, configuration, administration, and ongoing maintenance of NetApp storage environments, including ONTAP, FAS, and AFF.
  • Manage Volumes, Snapshots, Qtrees, and storage performance optimization.
  • Own the architecture, operation, and maintenance of Active Directory services.
  • Manage users, permissions, GPOs, and access controls.
  • Work with Entra ID (Azure AD) and Hybrid Identity synchronization scenarios.
  • Manage backup, disaster recovery, data replication, and DRP processes.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Ansible.
  • Provide infrastructure support for R&D and DevOps requirements, including DEV, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
  • Support infrastructure requirements for AI/ML workloads and CI/CD processes.
  • Leverage AI and LLM-based tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate scripting, automation, log analysis, troubleshooting, and infrastructure optimization.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in System Administration / Infrastructure roles within medium-to-large organizations.
  • 3+ years of deep hands-on experience managing, configuring, and maintaining NetApp ONTAP environments.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining Linux environments, including Ubuntu, Red Hat, and/or CentOS.
  • Strong experience with VMware / KVM virtualization environments.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, and/or Ansible.
  • Proven, in-depth experience managing Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), GPOs, and complex permissions/access controls.
  • Proven experience working closely with R&D / Development and DevOps teams.
  • Advantage: Practical experience using Generative AI / AIOps tools for infrastructure automation, data and log analysis, scripting, troubleshooting, and operational optimization.
